This post is part of a series I started of everything I’m currently reading, shopping for, listening to and loving this week! I always love seeing what other people are enjoying so I wanted to share what I’m into lately too.

This past week was a little out of our normal because Andrew was traveling for three days which he hasn’t done in a while but it was nice having the extra time at night to read or organize or do whatever I wanted. It also rained the entire day on Saturday so I spent a lot of it doing laundry, cleaning the house and reorganizing all our laundry room cabinets which makes me feel so fulfilled now! Addison had her second soccer game of the season cancelled and she was so sad about it but I’m hoping eventually the weather will cooperate and let her play next week!

Currently Reading:

I powered through Mari Andrew’s new book Am I There Yet? in two days not because I’m a fast reader but because it was such an easy book to spend time in. The short essays she paired with her gorgeous illustrations were very relatable and took me back to my previous years when life looked much different (pre marriage/kids). If you want something easy and light to read, I definitely recommend scooping this up. The pictures alone will have you inspired! Plus how many other adult books do you get to read that have pictures?!

I am about halfway through This Is Where I Leave You and it’s a really good one too. I’ve owned this book for at least three years now but never picked it up to read after I bought it and now I can’t figure out why not. It’s a movie too (starring JASON BATEMAN!!!!)  so I am hoping to get it done this week so I can watch the movie this weekend!

I’m listening to China Rich Girlfriend on Audible right now (the second book to Crazy Rich Asians). It’s a fun one to listen to for some mindless entertainment!

Recent Purchases:

I’m doing a No Spend April this month which means I’m not buying any clothes, shoes or accessories for myself or the girls. There was a swimsuit that I bought in March that didn’t fit when I got it home so I had to exchange it for a different one and it almost felt like shopping. No additional money spent though, I’m a fan of that kind of shopping!

The Target dollar spot has the CUTEST chalk ever right now so I picked up a few of those for summer. Based on their reactions, I was way more excited about these chalks than the kids were though!

We are going on a road trip soon and the girls always want to do stuff in the car (they always a million options) but I realized it’s hard for toddlers to balance things on their little laps so I bought these kids travel trays. They look like they would be really convenient to have a place to color on or put their lunch or snack on but when I get them in the mail I’m going to try it out with Addison before we leave for a ten hour road trip!

I may be crazy but I got a couple disposable cameras for our vacation too. Call me crazy but we’re going to have four kids with us and it will be so fun to give them cameras and let them share their perspective of the trip! Even if it’s a bunch of junk pictures they will have so much fun with it!

Other Random Things:

I heard you loud and clear on Instagram last week when I posted a few polls on what you wanted to see on here so I have a bunch of posts coming in the next few weeks! Topics including tips on road trips, podcasts I’m listening to, home tour (this one will be in segments by rooms), five staples I’m adding to my wardrobe for the summer and a ton more! I’m so excited to share everything with you and I hope you enjoy what I share!

I will be interested to hear how the travel trays work out, we have some travel coming up this summer and it would be nice to give the kids a play space in the car.

I love Target’s Dollar Spot! Those treat chalk are really cute. Now we just need weather nice enough (and no more snow) to be able to use them.

I am writing this from Wisconsin, and I would do anything for Spring to come! We have a foot of snow on the ground! Playing with that chalk in the sun sounds like a great Saturday afternoon!
