This post is part of a series I started of everything I’m currently reading, shopping for, listening to and loving this week! I always love seeing what other people are enjoying so I wanted to share what I’m into lately too.
I started reading House Under Snow which is actually kind of ironic now that the colder weather is gone and the 70 degree weather is here (hopefully to stay?). I’ve been reading mostly nonfiction lately and I thought I would mix it up with an easy novel in there. So far it’s pretty good!
I finished listening to 12 Ways Your Phone Is Changing You too and it was an incredibly Christian based book which I didn’t realize until I started listening to it but ended up loving the spin on how they incorporate the bible into our everyday phone usage.
I finally started working on Amelia’s room decor. I’ve held out until now because she has two beds (crib and toddler bed) in her room and I really wanted to get furniture put in it’s place before I decorated it but I realize now that I know exactly what it will look like anyway and once the crib is out of there, a bookshelf of some sort will go there so there’s really no point in waiting on wall decor anymore. I found some real cute pieces at Hobby Lobby and I can’t wait to share the room with you when it finally comes together! Below are some pieces I got from Hobby Lobby for her space.
I’ve been lacking in layering tank lately and am slowly stocking up on them again. I picked up on a new one this week and have worn it a few times already! The fabric is so soft and it’s a nice change up from my normal plain basic tanks.
I picked up the girls a raincoat because it’s been so crazy rainy here lately and I didn’t notice until I got home that there is a little pouch on the back of them that make them pack down in to nothing. So cute and convenient!
I had to return the ruffle swimsuit that I got last week (see below) but I ordered this pretty eyelet swimsuit and I have my fingers crossed that it will look as good in person as on the site!
Other Random Things:
I’ve been trying to kick my habit of going to Starbucks frequently and ordered the Starbucks packets to add to hot water. They taste just like a drink you’d order at the cafe for a fraction of the price. I’m hooked!
I started listening to the podcast Happier by Gretchen Rubin. I really loved her book I finished last week and wanted more of her motivation. It’s really good and the episodes aren’t too long! I only listened to a handful of episodes so far but this episode was my favorite so far!
I try to be as transparent as they come when it comes to things I purchase and how they fit. With that said, I have to be honest about the ruffle swimsuit I recommended last week. It was an absolute no once I tried it on. First it was way too snug and I even sized up. I normally would get a size small long because I have a longer torso but they didn’t have the long option so I got a medium instead. It was tight! There was no extra padding in the front either so if/when I get cold after coming out of a pool, EVERYONE will know it. The side of the bathing suit showed a mass amount of size boob too so overall, as cute as it was, it wouldn’t work for me.
While killing time while the girls were at school, I bought a new box of chalk. Warm weather can officially commence!
