this morning we woke up to a crisp fall day and decided it was the perfect day for a visiting the obligatory pumpkin patch. addison didn’t sleep in and now that she so kindly wakes us up on her own by walking into our bedroom, we were up at 6:15a. actually i take that back. andrew was up with her. i slept in until 7:45 or so; a good man that one. a morning to myself with coffee in hand and an empty backseat and andrew and addison doing their own errands, we met back home at 12:30, ate lunch and headed off to see what pumpkins we’d be able to scrounge up.

it was so different from last year. and more fun! always more fun when they can explore and walk and see what there is to see on their own. we ate fried apple pie and sat on all the haystacks. we took a hayride to the pumpkin field and addison tried to pick up a few pumpkins and eventually gave up and just kicked the one she wanted. so that was amusing. we ate carmel apples and with apple in hand, addi hopped from the scarecrow to the dandelion to the pumpkin to the girl cut outs because it’s so fun to stick your head in all of them!

Looks like you guys had a fun time!!! I chaperoned my nephew's kindergarten class up there last week for a field trip and loved seeing all the fall things. Though, I didn't get a fried apple pie. Now that sounds amazing!!!
