WEEKLY ROUND UP: READING, SHOPPING, LOVING

This is a little series I’m going to start of things I’m currently buying, wearing, reading, watching, and loving! I always love seeing what other people are enjoying so I wanted to share what I’m into lately too. I’m also going to share a few things I’ve got my eye on or things that may be in my cart. This week I’m going to share some of the birthday gifts we got for Addison too since it was her birthday last Friday.

Currently Reading:

I just finished You Are A Badass and it definitely has me fired up to step out of my comfort zone. The best part of the book is it has action items to do in order to make your dreams come true. I love the books that give you steps to take! I find if I have the first few steps written out for me that I need to do, I stay motivated after those things are done!

I’m also in the middle of reading The Happiness Project and I’m loving going through Gretchen’s journey of her year of happiness. It makes me want to start my own happiness project!

Has anyone read either of these books before?

Recently Bought: Addison’s Birthday Presents
We celebrated our oldest’s birthday last week and I’m always stumped on what to get kids for their birthday so I thought I would share a few things we got her in case you are stumped too! For reference, she turned four years old last week. (Queue all the tears!)

We are taking a Florida trip in April and in June so I thought a few things for the pool and beach would be fun. New swim shoes and goggles, a new swimsuit, sand toys, a kite and a beach ball got her pretty excited for our trip!

We also decided to do a “shared gift” this year to get Amelia excited about presents too and we chose the unicorn stuffed animal to be the shared gift. Oh my goodness I have never seen a two year old so excited about a stuffed animal in my life. The unicorn now has to go EVERYWHERE with us and has instantly become her new best friend. (Sorry Addison!)

Current Purchases/Things I’m Loving to Wear
I feel like Target has been killing it with their clothing options lately and since I’m there all the time anyways, that seems to be where a lot of my clothing has come from recently!

I have the DV shoes in the blush color but they don’t have them online anymore in that color so I linked the same shoes in black and also an alternative blush shoe that looks pretty similar. The black pajamas I bought last fall and they are honestly the softest pi’s I’ve ever owned. They just came out with the spring set (shorts and short sleeve shirt) and I’ve got my eye on them. I have the white version of the pretty eyelet dress from last summer and I absolutely live in it in the summer! I absolutely adore any dress with pockets pretty much! And if you watch my Instagram stories you know I am in love with the twisted knot knock off shirt from Target. All the colors and so so soft!

Other random things:
I’m obsessed with the show Designated Survivor thanks to my dad who got me hooked when he visited in January (we binge watched 12 episodes in four days, haha!). February 28th cannot come soon enough (how are they STILL on winter break?)!

Did you guys like this? I’m thinking of making this into a weekly series just to keep you updated on life!
