Less than a week ago marked the first day of summer and already I feel like it’s flying by before my very eyes. This happens to us every summer but we are booked solid from now until the end of eternity with family functions, camping trips, reunions, all sorts of stuff. All sorts of FUN stuff. We waited for this season all winter (all eight months of winter because it was damn near the worst one yet) and I can’t just let it zip on pass without a gentle wave. So without further ado, I present to you my bucket list for summer 2014.
Drink an Apple Strawberry cider beer on the patio. Preferably (but doubtfully) daily.
Steal my baby from her crib when she wakes up at 5:30 on the weekends and snuggle her in our bed until we see the sunrise.
Go watch the live music on Thursday nights downtown or Wednesday nights in the village.
Host a big backyard party.
*Go miniature golfing followed up by ice cream at our favorite local ice cream stand.
Buy the cutest picnic basket known to mankind and have a true picnic complete with babies in sun bonnets and sangria.
*Do all things Milwaukee related (ie. go to a Brewer game,
attend Summerfest and State Fair, take Addison to the zoo, hang out at the Milwaukee Public Market on a Saturday morning and go shopping in the Third Ward in the afternoon, eat ice cream at Leons, bike the Hank Aaron trail (even just a little bit of it and I will consider this one a success).
*Sell our home and purchase a different one. This one is still in the works. Lots more on this one at a later date.
There you have it friends. Good stuff up there I tell ya. What’s spectacular on your summer bucket list?
